MFDS Examiners for the new tri-collegiate MFDS exam
Applications for examiners who practice in the United Kingdom have closed on 4 August for those wanting to support the development of the exam.
If you are currently an examiner for MFDS and you want to continue when the existing (RCS England and bi-collegiate RCS Edinburgh/RCSPSG Glasgow) exams close, we will share the details for transition closer to the time.
A second phase of applications will open for those practicing outside the United Kingdom at a later date.
If you missed this cut off date, and would still like to be part of the examiner team, please complete the new MFDS Examiner application form. These applications will be reviewed by the Exam Board Chair over the coming months where additional help is needed for exam development. These applications will be on an examiner vacancy waiting list.
Dental Specialty Fellowship Examination Examiners
The Dental Specialty Fellowship Examinations invited applications for examiners from which the Exam Boards will be formed. These applications closed on 12 May 2025. Applicants will be contacted in the coming weeks with information on the the next steps.
If you missed this cut off date, and would still like to be part of the examiner team, please complete the new application form. These applications will be reviewed by the Exam Board Chairs over the coming weeks and months where additional help is needed for exam development and then when the new exam dates are being planned.
Current examiners would also be welcome to submit the form to continue in the role as examiners when the new diets are planned. Formal communication of transition plans for existing ISFE and specialty membership examiners will be shared in Autumn 2025.
